slightly miffed by the virus.

At the top table, manners are important. I’m not talking knives held like pencils – but some sort of agreement about health standards.
How is it that we are allowing the source of the coronavirus, China which is, as we understand it, eager, no, destined, to have a place at the top table of the developed world ?
Few at that top table, of course have an unblemished history. The G8/G10 includes some unpleasant nations. But in China- the origin is believed to be a “wet market” in its province of Wuhan , which sold both dead and live animals including fish and birds. Let’s just review.
According to The Telegraph:
Such markets pose a heightened risk of viruses jumping from animals to humans because hygiene standards are difficult to maintain if live animals are being kept and butchered on site. Typically, they are also densely packed.
The animal source of the latest outbreak has not yet been identified, but the original host is thought to be bats. Bats were not sold at the Wuhan market but may have infected live chickens or other animals sold there.
Bats are host to a wide range of zoonotic viruses including Ebola, HIV and rabies.
This of course may not be true. It’s only journo stuff.
Just sayin’, as they say, but you might include this file in your research pending..
